In 1997, Gabe Parsons, restaurateur and originator of the K-Bobs Steakhouse chain, opened the Red River Steakhouse in McLean, Texas. The building originated out of the ruins of an old church. Current owner Will Frost began working for Gabe while still in high school. In 2003, Will and his parents opened the Route 66 Steakhouse in Groom, Texas, and operated the restaurant with the same philosophy as the Red River Steakhouse – provide high-quality food, excellent service, and friendly atmosphere. When the opportunity arose for Will and his family to purchase the Red River Steakhouse in 2006, they jumped at the chance to return. The Red River Steakhouse carries on its fine tradition of providing guests with prime aged beef, fine barbeque, all around good food, and friendly service.
